Stage: Tolox – Istán

The bike route connecting Tolox and Istán, passing through Carril del Chaparral, is a scenic and challenging 33.14-kilometer route with a total elevation gain of approximately 799 meters. Designed to meet the requirements of the 075 label, this route encourages active and sustainable mobility, providing an eco-friendly alternative to motorized vehicles and promoting sustainable tourism in the region. By facilitating travel between Tolox and Istán, the route encourages a healthier and more environmentally friendly lifestyle, and is equally accessible in both directions.

The route passes through the Sierra de las Nieves National Park and Natural Park, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offering cyclists the opportunity to enjoy spectacular views and connect with nature in a preserved environment. Starting in Tolox, cyclists follow the Carril del Chaparral, enjoying rural landscapes and peaceful trails, until they reach Istán. Along the way, they can observe various geological formations and a rich variety of local flora and fauna.
