The Ojén–La Virgencita trail is a loop trail that combines history, nature, and breathtaking scenery. Starting from the center of the town of Ojén, the trail climbs gently through the Juanar ravine and along the banks of the Almadán stream, surrounded by a Mediterranean forest filled with pine trees, holm oaks, and aromatic plants. Along the way, hikers can enjoy natural viewpoints such as the one at Juanar and pass by the old Juanar farmhouse—now a key center for the Spanish ibex—as well as the La Virgencita chapel, an iconic landmark on the route. The combination of gentle ascents, panoramic views, and historic sites makes this route a well-rounded and enriching experience for hikers.
