The Casarabonela Botanical Garden is located at the entrance to the town and adds to the many remarkable natural and cultural attractions this town has to offer. It is one of the most fascinating sites in Europe dedicated to this type of flora. It houses an impressive collection of more than 2,500 botanical species from various continents, including Africa, the Americas, and Asia, making it the largest in Spain. It originated from the significant collection that Edwige Bravard and her husband, Joan Gabriel Mora, assembled over several decades.
The plants are neatly organized by geographic families, allowing visitors to take a tour of the world’s deserts and arid regions from a single location. The facility’s design combines spacious outdoor areas with a modern glass greenhouse that recreates the ideal humidity and temperature conditions for the most delicate plants.
The facilities are complemented by a tourist information office, an auditorium, a library, and other spaces. It is a must-see for nature lovers, photographers, and botanists looking to unwind and enjoy this space—a true oasis of biodiversity that amazes visitors with its uniqueness and beauty.
