Located next to the town center, it is known as a place where water plays a central role thanks to a network of Moorish irrigation channels (known as the Chorro and Altera) that carry water from the source of the Molinos River—the heart of Istán’s water system and the origin of its irrigation canal network—to the town’s irrigated areas.
This natural area of exceptional beauty also features a recreational area, and along the trail you can admire vegetation typical of the Mediterranean forest (pine trees, carob trees, and cork oaks) as well as species typical of riparian and shaded areas (oleanders, ferns, mosses, and acanthus).
