Chapel of the Santuario de la Cruz del Puerto, Guaro

Ver galería

Located about 500 meters from the town center of Guaro, at a crossroads, this chapel—whose origins date back to the 18th century—stands as a spiritual and scenic landmark in the Sierra de las Nieves region.

Inside, it houses the statue of Cristo de Limpias, a figure deeply revered by the local community, although it is not the original statue. One of the most significant events associated with the chapel is the celebration of the Day of the Cross, which takes place every May 3. On this date, the people of Guare hold a procession from the town to the chapel, in an expression of popular devotion that fills the path with history, life, and tradition.

This small temple, with its simple, whitewashed architecture, contrasts with the vastness of the natural landscape that surrounds it, offering a place of calm and devotion that attracts both the faithful and visitors seeking tranquility and spectacular views.
