A three-story manor house built in the early 19th century, located in the town’s historic center and belonging to the Sola Portocarrero family. It was opened to the public in 2011 and houses a diverse cultural heritage (period furniture, the paintings of Francisco de Paula Sola Portocarrero de los Riscos, books, documents, weapons, and other collections of interest). Among its treasures, a document from 1741 signed in Seville deserves special mention; it describes the provenance of a relic containing a thorn from Christ’s crown. Also noteworthy is the personal library donated by Nicolás Cabrillana Ciézar, a distinguished resident of the town, archivist, and historian.
On the top floor of the building, visitors can view a permanent exhibition of 400 Barbie dolls donated by Alberto Martín Macías, depicting various scenes related to the culture and traditions of Yunquera (the Porticate Pilgrimage, Yunquera Guerrillera, etc.), as well as paintings by Velázquez and Goya.
The House Museum also serves as a Visitor Information and Assistance Center.
