The route begins in the town of El Burgo and climbs steadily through a vast Aleppo pine forest along the ridges of various limestone hills, offering spectacular views on both sides of the trail.
Starting at the banks of the Turón River, the route follows the same path as the GR-243 to the Puerto de la Mujer, a crossroads offering breathtaking views of the Sierra de las Nieves and the banks of the Turón River. Continuing uphill, the trail winds through Aleppo pine forests, passing through the Puerto de los Lobos and the Loma de Gallardo before ending at the well-known Puerto de la Mujer.
