A loop trail starting in Ojén that passes through the El Cerezal recreational area and the Cañada del Herrador, sharing a section with the Gran Senda de Málaga GR 249. The trail winds through a chestnut grove with centuries-old trees until it reaches the Puzla Pass, then climbs to the Nicolás viewpoint, offering views of the Sierra Canucha and the Juanar cirque.
The route continues toward the Juanar mountain hut, the Charcos Pass, the Corzo lookout, the Abejera trail, and Tajo Negro Hill, where you can enjoy sweeping panoramic views of the coast and, on clear days, of Africa. The route reaches its highest point at the Juanar Cross.
The return route descends cautiously toward the Allanás Pass and connects with the Mario Zumaquero trail, the Enebros Plain, the GR 243, and the PR-A 169. After climbing to the Juan Graja Pass, the trail returns to the Juanar shelter and the Charcos Pass before heading back to Ojén.
The trail starts in Ojén and climbs through the Herrador ravine and the Juanar chestnut grove to the Puzla Pass and the Nicolás viewpoint, offering views of the Sierra Canucha and the Juanar cirque. The route continues toward the Los Charcos Pass, the Corzo viewpoint, and Tajo Negro Hill, from where you can see the entire coastline and even the African coast on clear days.
The trail reaches the Cruz de Juanar, the highest point on the route, before descending through mountain trails and Mediterranean forests back to Ojén.
