Circular trails offering stunning scenery that start in the center of Ojén. The route passes by the Nacimiento irrigation channel and the El Cerezal recreational area, next to the Almadán stream, before climbing up the Juanar ravine to the Cinco Dedos Pass.

From here, the Tajo Negro trail continues toward the Charcos Pass and the Juanar plain, passing by lookout points, hills, and the old Juanar farmhouse. The route offers excellent views of the Juanar Valley, Sierra Blanca, the coast, and the Sierra de Canucha.

The return route descends through the Nacimiento ravine, with the option to visit the Tajo Bermejo cave. Along the way, you’ll see pine forests, holm oaks, carob trees, cork oaks, and aromatic plants. It is recommended that you follow the marked trail.

Route itinerary

The trail crosses the Acequia del Nacimiento irrigation channel and the El Cerezal recreational area, ascending along the Juanar ravine to the Cinco Dedos Pass. From here, the Tajo Negro trail continues toward the Juanar plain and several natural lookouts offering views of the coast, the Sierra Blanca, and the Sierra de Canucha.

The route also allows you to discover places such as the Corzo viewpoint, the Marbella mountain pass, and the Tajo Bermejo cave, which is linked to the area’s ancient shepherds.
