The route begins at the Juanar mountain hut and follows the main trail to the old farmhouse, which now serves as a center for the mountain goat. From there, take a path through olive and pine trees until it joins a trail that gradually ascends toward the Allanás Pass.
From this pass, you can climb up to the Cruz de Juanar or continue west along the ridge. The trail winds through hills and more exposed sections; take special care at the Salto del Lobo, the most challenging part of the route.
Further on, you’ll reach the foothills of Lastonar Hill, the highest point in the Sierra Blanca, and continue along the most spectacular part of the route until you reach La Concha. From the summit, you can enjoy magnificent views of the coast, the Sierra Blanca, and the Concepción Reservoir.
The trail passes by the Cortijo de Juanar and winds through olive groves, pine forests, and Mediterranean vegetation before reaching the Puerto de las Allanás. From there, it continues along the ridge toward Cerro Lastonar and La Concha.
The final stretch offers some of the most spectacular views along the route, with panoramic views of the coast, the Concepción Reservoir, and the surrounding mountains.
