The route starts at the Hotel Altos de Istán, at the foot of the Sierra Blanca, and climbs along a trail toward a small quarry with good views of the village. From there, it continues along the Juan Inglés trail, through Mediterranean scrub, oleanders, and thyme.

The most challenging stretch begins as you skirt a large rock and climb toward Los Arenales, until you reach the summit of the pass marked by two solitary pine trees. From this point, you can enjoy views of the Juanar area, its pine forest, and the Cross. From here, the descent begins over rocky terrain to a pine forest and, further on, an olive grove that leads to the old Juanar refuge, now a hunting recovery and research center. The route then continues toward the Juanar lookout point and takes the trail down to Ojén.

The final stretch winds downhill through pine forests, passes through a tunnel under the highway, and runs alongside the El Cerezal area. After crossing an irrigation ditch, the trail reaches the town center of Ojén, the end of the route.
