Located in the area known as La Cancula, at the foot of the rocky promontory on which the castle stands, this idyllic space blends architecture and nature through a design inspired by the aesthetic and functional principles developed in al-Andalus; and stands as a fine example of the importance and significance of gardens in Islamic culture and spirituality, while also serving as a refuge and a place for meditation and personal enjoyment.
The garden combines geometric design, abundant use of water (fountains, pools, and irrigation channels), and a rich selection of trees (pomegranate, fig, palm, and orange trees) as well as aromatic and ornamental plants.
