Alozaina is nestled at the foot of the Sierra Prieta, on a hilltop that offers sweeping views of the sea of olive trees that surrounds it and the Guadalhorce Valley. Its charm as a traditional Andalusian “white village,” reflected in its labyrinthine streets and houses with white, flower-filled facades, captivates visitors at first sight.
Here we can enjoy a remarkable historical heritage, such as the María Sagredo Tower, the Church of Santa Ana, the Mirador del Castillo Park, the Arches, and the Albar fountain and washhouse. In the town, visitors can sample the local cuisine, which features Aloreña olives (with Protected Designation of Origin) and traditional soups. Among its festivals, the Carnival of the Flour stands out.
Surrounded by stunning natural scenery, there are numerous hiking trails in the area. Special mention goes to the beautiful Jorox area, one of the jewels of the Sierra de las Nieves.
